The 1971 Desiree Christmas plate shows The Little Match Girl, who seeks cover from the cold between to house corners. She lights a match to get some heat and in the glimmer she sees all the joy and happiness of Christmas. Among other things she sees a beautiful Christmas Tree with thousands of candles.
