About the product
The motif of this 1973 Desiree Christmas plate from the Porcelain Factory Desiree, also known as Désirée Denmark, Svend Jensen of Denmark, Old Copenhagen Blue is coming from the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale The Fir Tree. The motif of the 1973 Christmas plate is The Fir Tree. It shows the tree with al its magnificence, hearts and lights, and the children dancing around the tree having fun. After the children finished dancing they were allowed to strip the tree and they were told a fairy tale. The Fir Tree had its happiest time on this Christmas Eve. This Christmas plate was designed by Svend Otto S.
Désirée started the Christmas plate series in 1970 and ended it in 2002. All motifs of the Hans Christian Andersen Christmas plates from Désirée are inspired by Hans Christian Andersen´s Fairy Tales
