Happy New Year! I hope you have entered the new year with lots of hapiness and champange and that 2023 will bring you lots of love, laughter and joy.

 

There are many wonderful things that comes along with a new year and one of my favorites is the arrival of new collectibles from Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Groendahl!

As in in 2021 and 2022, the Christmas drops and Christmas bells have been discontinued. Instead, we got a nice Christmas ornament, which in 2021 was a titmouse, in 2022 a mouse and in 2023 a hedgehog.

 

The fine Christmas cup was discontinued in 2019, but as a NOVELTY in 2022 we got a super nice thermo cup, and in 2023 another one has been released, which is inspired by and matching the annual Christmas plate.

The motif of this year's Christmas Plate 2023 depicts a flock of sheep walking through a Danish forest. Therefore, the associated annual figurine 2023 is of a little lam playing in the snow. The motif on this year's Christmas plate, as well as the creation of the annual figurine, is by Allan Therkelsen.

 

The motif of the B&G Christmas plate from 2023 is of on of Denmark's most significant monuments, namely Roskilde Cathedral. The Christmas plate is designed by Dag Samsund.

In 2023 Royal Copenhagen re-introduces their angel orchestra which was originally launched in 1955 in pure white porcelain. The five figurines are now designed in douchs blue skirts and gold details. The ornaments can be used standing or hanging from the string that comes with it.

 

In the five-angel orchestra you will find an Angel with Trumpet, an Angel with Violin, an Angel with Cymbal, an Angel with Mandolin and an Angel with Hymn Book.
