Hello reader

You will not believe it but classic tableware pieces can be used for so much more than you think. With a little creativity, there are actually no limits to what you can use them for.

Think outside the box...

or rather beyond the intended function. - Why limit a potato bowl to potatoes, a pot for water or cups to coffee, when they can do so much more? I'll show you!

I brought out my beloved Bing & Grondahl Christmas Rose Dinnerware in order to give you some good examples of how you can find new uses for your favorite services. It creates a good atmosphere and doesn't have to cost a lot.
A sauce bowl for the flowers and egg cups for candles

Serving coziness and atmosphere

There is so many different kinds of sauce bowls, which are incredibly beuatiful. - But personally I don't always serve sauce with the food. This means that my sauce bowl is often in a cupboard, hidden away, which is just such a shame... Maybe you feel the same?

That's why I just think it was great to use it! I honestly think it is super decorative to have it standing on the table, and at the same time a cheap decoration. - I used two small flowers in 6cm pots.

When making a small cozy setup, it is always a good idea to combine with candles, and here I found one of my beautiful egg cups. - It is the perfect size for a tealight! Only your imagination is the limit!

A potato bowl for the flowers and small dishes for candles

Almost like it was meant to be

I'm continuing a bit with the flowers, as they just bring so much life to the home. But can you guess what they are placed in?

At first glance, it might look like a flowerpot, but it's actually my potato bowl. A bit like the sauce bowl, it is rarely used, but as you can see, it doesn't have to be like that at all. - On the contrary, it can also easily be used for a few potted roses, which can also usually be bought cheaply in most supermarkets. - Just have to say that at this time of year, it's so nice to take the flowers indoors.

I have also used the little dishes in a slightly different way. Rather than being used for side portions, I have chosen to put a few tealights in and thereby also give them new life.

A teacup can be used for many things, including as a soup bowl for starters

For parties and everyday life

Another little innovation that I want to show you is the use of teacups. In my home it is not that often that we drink tea, and certainly not from cups specifically made for it. But then it's good that they can be used for something else!

More and more people are starting to serve vegetable soup in teacups, which the low teacups are perfect for, and with a white teacup like the one in the picture above, matching with other sets is really easy!
A coffee cup can be used for many things, including flowers

May we offer you a cup of flowers?

If you don't have that many tea cups, but instead have a lot of coffee cups, there are also some great options! - And as you have probably guessed, it has something to do with flowers again.

Coffee cups can be really pretty and a slightly more quirky addition to the flowers. Again, I have used flowers in pots with a diameter of 6cm. and it was really an easy way to create a good atmosphere! - But remember that coffee cups are in reality just a tall bowl with a handle, so it is also super suitable for a lot of other things, such as your morning yogurt.
You are welcome to eat from most Christmas plates, as long as underglaze is used!

Down from the wall and onto the table

My last little recommendation in this newsletter is probably not so much a new tableware function as a reminder. - There are many Christmas plates that you can eat from!

There is a so many beautiful Christmas plates that will be so nice to serve meals on, and you can have a lot of fun with this. Eg. you can find the Christmas plate from the year your guests were born and set it up so that the table becomes more personal.

You can also simply choose based on the beautiful motifs, which will certainly be a great conversation starter around the table. Again, the only limit is your imagination!
