I don't know about you, but I love to arrange my Christmas sweets so that they are both pretty and tempting. - I'm not a particular good confectioner, but even my misshapen Danish butter cookies and my squared Danish brown cookies looks delicious when served on my cake stand, alongside my wrapped chocolates. - Yummy!
The idea of (re)using old plates in a new and different way really speaks to me. And that is why a cake stand created from plates are great! Such a cake stand is a good way to service sweets on. It's easy to pass around, it's filled with history and soul, and it breaks with the use and throwaway culture.
