Summer has arrived in Denmark and given our rather extended coastline the beach calls when the sun shines. But that does not mean that we do not have something that fits the moment.
Many artists have been inspired by the sun and beach. Both at Royal Copenhagen, Bing & Grondahl and Dahl Jensen many beautiful figurines have been made with inspiration in the Danish summer with the long summer evenings. Like the large attractive figurine below.
It is a figurine from Royal Copenhagen called Wave and Rock by the sculptor Theodor Lundberg. He was clearly inspired by the waves breaking on the coast. You can almost hear the surf.
